“SHOCKING Everton Bombshell: £18M Mega-Bid to Snag ‘Galactic Superstar’ Midfield Maestro – You Won’t Believe Who!”

Everton have had an £18 million bid for Aston Villa captain John McGinn rejected, according to Sky Sports journalist Mark McAdam.

After a sluggish start to the transfer window, the Toffees have stepped up their activity, sealing five new signings:

Charly Alcaraz on a permanent deal, Thierno Barry from Villarreal, Mark Travers from Bournemouth, Adam Aznou from Bayern Munich, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea.

Looking to add Premier League experience to the squad, Everton turned their attention to Scotland international McGinn.

The 30-year-old, labelled a “superstar” by some, is entering the final two years of his contract at Villa Park.

Speculation has suggested he could be sold as Villa look to generate funds following their failure to qualify for the Champions League.

In response, Everton submitted an £18 million bid as manager David Moyes aims to bolster his team with leadership, versatility, and top-flight experience.

However, Aston Villa swiftly rejected the offer and made it clear they have no intention of parting with McGinn, with manager Unai Emery determined to retain his core squad.

Newcastle United have also shown interest in McGinn, though they have yet to make a formal approach.

Meanwhile, Everton continue to work on reinforcing their attack. The club has had several bids turned down by Southampton for highly rated youngster Tyler Dibling.

They have also entered talks with Manchester City over a possible season-long loan move for Jack Grealish, as Moyes looks to further strengthen his side before the new season kicks off.
