“Have Submitted” | West Ham Plans to Snatch Striker from London Rivals
West Ham has allegedly made an offer to acquire a striker from a fellow London club.
After securing their top defensive target in Max Kilman, West Ham can now focus on signing a striker. This position has posed significant challenges for the club in recent years, making it a crucial opportunity for Tim Steidten to demonstrate his value.
As usual, the Hammers are evaluating several options to determine the best value for money. There have been strong links to Jhon Duran and Jonathan David, leading many to believe these are the preferred choices. However, the club might pursue a different target entirely.
According to a report from AfricaFoot, West Ham has submitted a £12.6 million bid for David Datro Fofana. The Chelsea forward spent last season on loan at Union Berlin and Burnley, scoring only six goals across all competitions. He showed a promising form for Burnley towards the end of the season but struggled to maintain it.
At just 21 years old, Fofana has significant potential for improvement and possesses some qualities that could make him a prolific goal scorer. His impressive goal at the London Stadium demonstrated his striking ability. Given time, he could develop into an excellent striker, but West Ham doesn’t have the luxury of time.
If Fofana were signed as a backup option, it would be a great deal. However, West Ham urgently needs a striker who can deliver immediately, and it’s hard to imagine the young forward fulfilling that role.
