“Here We Go” – Fabrizio Romano Confirms West Ham’s £15m Deal with Medical on Sunday

Florian Plettenberg reported earlier today that a verbal agreement has been reached between Manchester United and West Ham, with a personal agreement also in place with Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed a deal worth approximately £15 million for the 26-year-old defender.

Manchester United has approved the transfer, and Wan-Bissaka will travel to London for his medical on Sunday.

Romano announced on X: “Aaron Wan-Bissaka to West Ham, here we go! Verbal agreement in place for right back to join West Ham from Man United as planned.

Medical tests already booked for Sunday! Fee will be £15m. Man United authorized AWB to travel… Mazraoui joining soon.”

In a separate tweet, Romano stated that Noussair Mazraoui is set to join Manchester United, signing a five-year deal at Old Trafford. However, a few details remain to be finalized.

David Ornstein mentioned that discussions over the contract length are ongoing, and the deal is subject to Wan-Bissaka finalizing his departure from Manchester United.

This transfer window has been significant for West Ham, marking their seventh signing of the summer. Wan-Bissaka joins on a loan deal with an obligation to buy next summer.

Wan-Bissaka has made 190 appearances for Manchester United since his £45 million move from Crystal Palace in 2019.

However, he has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford and is now set to join the Hammers.

Signing a right-back has been a priority for West Ham following Ben Johnson’s move to Ipswich Town.

Wan-Bissaka, with his Premier League experience, fits this need perfectly.
