According to Fabrizio Romano, West Ham United and Manchester City have agreed on a £1.2 million compensation package for Divin Mubama.
The transfer specialist reported on X on Friday (16 August) that the striker has scheduled medical tests with the Premier League champions ahead of a summer move to the Etihad Stadium as a free agent.
Mubama will sign a long-term deal with Pep Guardiola’s team after rejecting a contract offer from the Hammers earlier this summer and leaving the London Stadium at the end of the season.
Despite being only 19 years old and officially a free agent, Julen Lopetegui’s side is entitled to a compensation package.

When Mubama declined a contract at the London Stadium, few expected the teenager to join Manchester City this summer; most pundits anticipated him moving to the EFL.
Ultimately, it appears he is moving from one Premier League club’s bench to another’s, as it seems highly unlikely he will play first-team football under Pep Guardiola this season.
From a Hammers’ perspective, it didn’t matter much where the forward ended up since they were entitled to some compensation regardless.
However, it’s disappointing to see him forgo the chance to play regularly.
Had Mubama moved to the Championship, he could have easily led the line week in and week out for a top-six challenging team, gaining vital experience.
Instead, he will mark time at the Etihad Stadium, likely settling for minutes with the under-21 side.
Overall, this feels like a disappointing move for everyone involved, except City.
