In an exclusive interview with MOT Leeds News, former Leeds goalkeeper Paul Robinson said, “As a Leeds United manager in the Championship, there’s always pressure because the expectation is to reach the Premier League.
After coming so close last season, this year’s goal is promotion.
“You’re constantly under scrutiny in this role. The season started with mixed results—a draw against Portsmouth followed by a poor EFL Cup loss to Middlesbrough.
I think at that point, people were already questioning both the club and Farke.
“Leeds sold over £100 million worth of players, but their recruitment didn’t seem to match the losses.
After those early setbacks, Farke was under serious pressure, and questions were being raised about him and the club.
“They followed that up with a draw against West Brom and three consecutive clean sheets, but then the 1-0 defeat to Burnley brought the pressure right back.
Leeds are currently in ninth place, five points behind West Brom, and you don’t want to fall too far behind.
Unfortunately, any time Leeds lose, Farke will be under pressure.”
