Among the options rumored to be on the club’s radar is Freiburg’s Noah Atubolu, who has now directly addressed the speculation.

According to sources like Fabrizio Romano, West Ham are interested in signing 22-year-old Freiburg goalkeeper Noah Atubolu.
When asked about the links by Sky Deutschland, Atubolu didn’t shy away from responding.
Freiburg are reportedly open to selling him for £8.3 million.
“I’ve heard about it, but I’m putting it aside,” Atubolu said. “We’re having a great season so far, and we have an important game against Leverkusen on Saturday. That’s my focus.”
He added, “Of course, it’s nice and feels like a reward for my performances. But it doesn’t change my personal value.
What matters is what I show on the pitch.”
West Ham fans may recall Atubolu from last season’s Europa League matches against Freiburg.
The 22-year-old had a difficult time during those encounters, especially in the 5-0 defeat at the London Stadium in March.
His performances raised concerns about his abilities.
Atubolu has been criticized for lacking a commanding presence, failing to assert authority in his penalty area, and being inconsistent as a shot-stopper.
While he’s reasonably skilled with the ball at his feet, many fans would be disappointed if West Ham decided to bring him in during the January transfer window.
