“£30M SUPERSTAR’S SHOCK MEDICAL REVEALS GAME-CHANGING TWIST FOR NEWCASTLE UNITED – YOU WON’T BELIEVE WHAT’S NEXT!”

Newcastle United Hoping for Breakthrough in Pursuit of Joao Pedro from Brighton

Joao Pedro, 23, has become one of Newcastle United’s key transfer targets this summer after Bryan Mbeumo proved too costly.

While Pedro could present similar financial challenges, the Magpies remain in pursuit, encouraged by reports suggesting the Brazilian is open to a move to St. James’ Park.

A deal will hinge on Brighton’s willingness to sell and the transfer fee involved. Newcastle will be hoping the Seagulls are open to letting Pedro go, a decision that could be influenced by new attacking arrivals at the Amex Stadium.

Brighton appear to be preparing for life without Pedro, as they close in on a potential replacement.

According to The Athletic, 18-year-old Olympiacos striker Charalampos Kostoulas is expected to undergo a medical ahead of a £30 million transfer to the south coast club.

The young forward is set to sign a five-year contract with Brighton.

Kostoulas’ arrival could pave the way for Pedro’s departure. If the Greek striker is viewed as a direct successor to Pedro, Newcastle’s hopes of landing the Brazilian would be significantly boosted.

Further encouraging signs for Newcastle come from off-pitch developments. Toward the end of last season, Pedro was reportedly involved in a training ground altercation with Brighton teammate Jan Paul van Hecke.

Sources close to the situation, including Geordie Boot Boys, have revealed that Pedro has since become unsettled at the club, with his representatives actively seeking a move elsewhere.

A switch to Newcastle would offer Pedro the chance to reunite with Brazilian compatriots Bruno Guimarães and Joelinton, adding another layer of appeal to the potential transfer.

Despite the reported bust-up at Brighton, Newcastle officials seemingly have no concerns about Pedro’s professionalism or character.

Their ongoing interest suggests full confidence in his ability to positively contribute to the squad.

All signs point toward Newcastle maintaining their pursuit, with hope that Brighton’s transfer activity and Pedro’s unrest could finally swing the deal in their favor.
