Steve Cooper has received transfer advice from former Leicester City striker Alan Smith as he begins his tenure at the King Power Stadium. Smith also pointed out the need for fresh attacking options. “Jamie Vardy can’t play forever, although he can still be valuable as a substitute,” he said. “Leicester must be smart in the transfer market, similar to their past successes with signings like N’Golo Kante and Riyad Mahrez. Those players were outstanding in the Premier League and were relatively unknown before joining Leicester.”
Acknowledging the challenge of unearthing such talent, Smith stressed the importance of strengthening the squad. “Finding talent like Kante and Mahrez is not easy, but Leicester must enhance their squad, no doubt. I hope they can achieve it,” he concluded.
