Jason Tindall to Take Charge of Newcastle United’s Next Two Matches as Club Issues Eddie Howe Health Update

Jason Tindall Reveals Eddie Howe Missed Training Due to Serious Illness

Jason Tindall and the Newcastle United coaching team had to step up in the absence of Eddie Howe, guiding the Magpies to an impressive 4-1 win over Manchester United at St James’ Park on Sunday.

With Howe admitted to hospital on Friday evening, Tindall revealed post-match that the manager had been watching from his hospital bed and had sent a congratulatory message to the coaching staff.

Tindall initially expressed hope that Howe would return for Wednesday’s clash against Crystal Palace.

However, a club update released on Monday confirmed that Howe has been diagnosed with pneumonia and will miss the upcoming matches against both Crystal Palace and Aston Villa.

As a result, Jason Tindall and Graeme Jones will lead the team for these two fixtures, with the club set to provide further updates on Howe’s condition in due course.

In the meantime, Eddie Howe has received an outpouring of support from fans and figures across the football world.

He responded with a heartfelt message from his hospital bed, thanking everyone for their kindness during this difficult time.

“A huge thank you to everyone connected with Newcastle United and the wider football community for your messages and warm wishes. They have meant a lot to me and my family,” Howe said.

“I also want to pay tribute to our incredible NHS and the hospital staff who have treated me.

I’m immensely grateful for the specialist care I’m receiving and, after a period of recovery, I look forward to being back as soon as possible.”

While Howe focuses on his recovery, Tindall and Jones will be tasked with maintaining the team’s momentum during a critical stretch of fixtures.

Newcastle fans will no doubt continue to rally behind their manager as he works toward a full recovery.
