Everton set for last-minute swoop to sign Burnley star within 36 hours – report

Everton are reportedly preparing a bid for Burnley’s Josh Brownhill as the winter transfer window nears its end.

According to talkSPORT on 2 February, the 29-year-old midfielder is “one to keep an eye on,” with just 36 hours left before the deadline.

The Toffees have expressed interest in signing Brownhill, whose contract expires in the summer.

However, they face competition from Brentford and Wolves, as well as pre-contract offers from clubs in Italy, France, and Türkiye, which could influence his decision.

David Moyes is eager to strengthen his squad at Goodison Park but is running out of time.

With less than two days remaining, completing any potential deal could be challenging.

Despite this, Everton may still attempt to secure Brownhill on a cut-price transfer due to his contract situation.

Burnley could be open to selling the midfielder rather than losing him for free in the summer, giving Everton the chance to negotiate a bargain deal.

Scott Parker’s stance on the transfer remains unclear, as Brownhill has been a key player for Burnley this season.

The midfielder has featured in 27 games, scoring nine goals and providing four assists, making him an attractive prospect for Moyes’ side.
