Journalist: ‘Exciting Player’ Likely to Choose Tottenham Over Other English Clubs

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Rennes’ Desire Doue for some time now. Ange Postecoglou’s side is reportedly very interested in the young attacker, and there’s a strong possibility they can finalize this deal.

Ben Jacobs shared an update on Doue’s situation on Last Word on Spurs, stating that Tottenham are the Premier League frontrunners in the race for Doue’s signature.

Jacobs provided insights about the Frenchman, saying, “This is a sensational prospect, and Tottenham fans can be very excited because he is a definite Tottenham target.

Bayern Munich and PSG are the other clubs to watch out for, along with Chelsea, who have a lot of targets. You have to be cautious with Chelsea because they can swoop in unexpectedly, but right now, Tottenham are the frontrunners from any Premier League interest, while Bayern are very serious about Desire Doue as well.”

However, the deal for Doue won’t be easy. Although Tottenham may be the favorites among Premier League clubs, this doesn’t necessarily mean they will secure the deal. Both Bayern Munich and PSG are also interested, and if either of those teams enters the race, Tottenham might struggle to sign Doue.

Bayern Munich and PSG are more attractive destinations for a player like Doue, who will likely want to play Champions League football next season. While Spurs have a chance to complete this deal, the interest from Bayern and PSG poses a significant challenge for the north London club.
