Journalist: Tottenham Have Discussed Potential Late Move for 28-Year-Old

Journalist Ben Jacobs reveals Tottenham Hotspur discussed a potential move for Kingsley Coman, but a transfer to Saudi Arabia now seems likely.

Tottenham’s Abundance of Wingers

Ange Postecoglou currently has a wealth of options in the wide areas at Tottenham, with Son Heung-min, Timo Werner, Dejan Kulusevski, Brennan Johnson, and Wilson Odobert all competing for two positions.

Additionally, academy talent Mikey Moore provides another option, and Richarlison is also familiar with playing on the wings.

Given this depth, a move for another winger seems unlikely. However, there have been rumors that Kingsley Coman is on Tottenham’s wishlist.

Journalist Steve Kay mentioned on KS1 TV a few weeks ago that Tottenham are admirers of the French winger, noting that his agency, CAA Base, has a strong relationship with the North London club.

Could Kingsley Coman Leave Bayern?

Ben Jacobs recently commented that a move away from Bayern Munich seems unlikely for Coman at this point in the transfer window.

However, he confirmed that Tottenham, Arsenal, PSG, and Barcelona have shown interest in the player.

Jacobs said on Henry Wright TV: “The wages aren’t a massive problem because the player is willing to lower his demands, but does he actually want to leave?

He’s quite settled there. For now, he’s content, especially with a new, young family, so any move must be right both professionally and personally.

The Premier League links are real, as he’s been discussed internally by both Tottenham and Arsenal, but PSG and Barcelona are also in the mix.”

Furthermore, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Bayern Munich has agreed on a fee with Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, but Coman has yet to decide, especially with ongoing interest from the Premier League and Barcelona.
