Kayserispor coach Burak Yilmaz has recommended that Galatasaray pursue Leicester City midfielder Boubakary Soumare. Yilmaz was consulted for his opinion on potentially targeting the Leicester player.
Soumare spent last season on loan at Sevilla, who have an option to make the move permanent. However, Sevilla are unlikely to buy him, meaning he is set to return to Leicester this summer. With two years left on his contract, it is unclear if Soumare will feature in Leicester’s plans now that the club is back in the Premier League.
According to Turkish outlet GS Gazete, Galatasaray have been considering Soumare and now have Yilmaz’s strong endorsement. Yilmaz, who played with Soumare in France, advised Cenk Ergun, Galatasaray’s director of football, to sign him during this transfer window.
While the Turkish giants have yet to make a concrete move, Soumare is definitely on their radar. It remains to be seen whether Leicester will decide to let him go or reintegrate him into their squad for the upcoming season.
