King predicts key replacement for Tottenham vs Brighton as Ange provides injury update
Bryan King predicts Ben Davies to start if Destiny Udogie is unavailable for Tottenham's clash against Brighton at the Amex Stadium on Sunday (6 October).

The former Spurs scout believes that Ben Davies is more likely to start than Djed Spence if Destiny Udogie is unavailable.
During his pre-match press conference (via Football London, 4 October), Postecoglou addressed Udogie’s availability, stating, “We think Destiny will be okay; he’s training today and tomorrow.”
However, if Udogie isn’t fit enough, King—speaking exclusively to Tottenham News—supports Davies’ experience, suggesting it gives him an advantage over Spence.
“Missing Udogie would be a setback,” King said. “Leaving him in London to focus on his recovery was a smart move.
He’s a key player, but there are others who can step in for him.
“They have Spence, and we’ve seen van de Ven play at left-back.
However, I believe Davies would be the first choice—experience matters. He’s the best option if Udogie can’t play.”
Could Ben Davies start for Tottenham against Brighton given the update on Destiny Udogie?
Postecoglou’s update on Udogie is generally positive.

His expectation that Udogie will feature against Brighton suggests the injury isn’t serious, which is good news considering Udogie’s recent praise for his performances.
Even if Udogie isn’t ready for the Brighton match, he’s likely to be available after the international break.
There’s still a strong possibility he plays on Sunday, but Postecoglou may opt not to risk aggravating the injury.
Udogie will be crucial in the coming weeks, especially after Postecoglou’s recent decisions.
If Udogie isn’t fit, Davies could be the one called upon to fill the position.
