BOMBSHELL TRANSFER ALERT! Leeds Ready to STEAL Premier League’s Hottest No.10 in Jaw-Dropping Move – Player’s SECRET Preference REVEALED! (You won’t believe where his heart really lies…

Leeds United Identify Harvey Elliott as a Summer Transfer Target

Leeds United could now turn their full attention towards finding a new number 10, with Daniel Farke eager to add greater creativity and attacking quality to his squad.

The Whites recently suffered a setback in their pursuit of an attacking midfielder after Julian Brandt rejected the opportunity to move to Elland Road, instead choosing to join Ajax.

However, Farke and the Leeds hierarchy are not prepared to abandon their search and still have several options on their radar.

One player who has remained under consideration throughout the summer is Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott.

The 23-year-old could potentially provide the creative spark Farke has been looking for, although questions remain over whether Leeds would actually be his preferred destination.

Elliott endured a difficult campaign during his loan spell at Aston Villa last season, making only nine appearances.

A complicated situation involving an unwanted purchase obligation reportedly contributed to his limited opportunities, leaving the England Under-21 international struggling to establish himself.

With his prospects at Liverpool also appearing uncertain, Elliott could have an opportunity to remain in the Premier League by joining Leeds.

However, reports suggest that moving to Elland Road is not his preferred option.

Leeds United discover Harvey Elliott preference

Leeds have identified Elliott as one of their potential targets this summer and may have been monitoring developments before deciding whether to make a formal approach.

The midfielder’s opportunities at Anfield have declined significantly since Arne Slot took charge, while his chances of regular football could remain limited under Andoni Iraola if another move materialises.

Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was a major admirer of Elliott’s ability, which helped the youngster establish himself at Anfield and make close to 150 appearances for the club.

There is little doubt that Elliott possesses many of the qualities Farke wants from his attacking midfielders.

His technical ability, creativity and versatility could make him an ideal fit for Leeds’ attacking system.

Nevertheless, Leeds Live have reported that although a deal for Elliott remains “possible”, the player himself would prefer to pursue another opportunity.

His preferred destination has not been disclosed, but the indication that Leeds are not his first choice could convince Farke and the club to look elsewhere.

Leeds have made it clear that they want players who are genuinely enthusiastic about joining the club, rather than those simply considering Elland Road among several options.

Leeds face competition for Elliott

The Brandt situation underlined the importance of that approach. Leeds cannot afford to spend too much time chasing players who are undecided about their future.

Players such as James Trafford, Harry Wilson and Tarik Muharemovic were attracted to the Leeds project, demonstrating the type of commitment the club wants from its recruits.

Meanwhile, Leeds face competition from Bournemouth, RB Leipzig and Newcastle United for Elliott.

While competition for a player of his ability is inevitable, Leeds may now decide it is better to focus their efforts elsewhere if Elliott’s preference remains unchanged.
