After securing the signings of Lukas Nmecha and Jaka Bijol, Leeds United are reportedly setting their sights on bringing in a midfield reinforcement to complement their summer business—particularly as an alternative to Noah Sadiki.
Leeds’ Transfer Plans Following Bijol’s Arrival
Following their investment to land Bijol from Udinese, reports indicate that Leeds, under the stewardship of the 49ers ownership group, are not finished yet.
Both Habib Diarra and Noah Sadiki have emerged as key targets as Daniel Farke seeks to strengthen his midfield ahead of the new season. Adding another quality option in the centre of the park appears to be a top priority.
According to reports, Leeds have tabled an offer worth up to £24 million to sign Diarra. If accurate, this suggests a high level of intent and a desire to conclude business swiftly.
Sadiki has also been the subject of an official approach, signalling that the 49ers are ready to back Farke with further significant investment following the arrival of Bijol.
Should they land Sadiki, it would be another statement signing. The Union St. Gilloise midfielder could slot in alongside Ao Tanaka to form a dynamic and resilient midfield pairing—one capable of guiding Leeds to Premier League safety and potentially more.
Leeds may benefit from the fact that one of their main competitors for Sadiki’s signature—Lyon—have been relegated to Ligue 2 due to financial issues.
With Lyon now out of the picture, Leeds could find a clear path to completing the deal.
However, if a move for Sadiki doesn’t materialise, Leeds have a strong alternative in their sights.
Leeds Now Eyeing Mahdi Camara
As reported by Footen France, Leeds and the 49ers are eyeing Stade Brest’s Mahdi Camara as a potential summer acquisition.
The midfielder could be available for around £13 million—a fee that represents excellent value given his top-flight experience.
Though Camara may not match Ao Tanaka’s technical prowess in possession, he brings a goal-scoring element to midfield that could add an extra dimension to Farke’s setup.
A midfield pairing capable of contributing ten goals across the season could prove vital, especially considering how many Championship sides struggle to maintain their attacking edge in the Premier League.
Additionally, Camara shares the same agent as Sadiki, which could simplify negotiations. Should the Sadiki move fall through, pivoting to Camara could be seamless—making him a very strong alternative target for Leeds.
