According to a report on 9 August (page 51), French club Marseille is set to finalize an £8m deal with Norwich City for 21-year-old winger Jonathan Rowe.
Leeds United, who offered £7m for the England Under-21 international, now seem to have lost out to the Ligue 1 side.

Daniel Farke will likely be disappointed to miss out on Rowe, especially following Crysencio Summerville’s move to West Ham.
With the new season approaching, Leeds urgently needs reinforcements on the wing to compete with players like Dan James and Wilfried Gnonto.
Rowe could have been an ideal addition to the squad, but the £8m price tag appears to be beyond Leeds’ budget.
Fans will undoubtedly find it frustrating that the club might lose out to Marseille over just £1m, but the club’s management seems to be sticking to a strict financial plan.
A potential deal for Jesurun Rak-Sakyi has also collapsed, leaving Leeds in a challenging position with the Championship opener against Portsmouth fast approaching.
While signing the Crystal Palace starlet or Rowe would have been excellent business, Farke and his team will now need to quickly assess alternative targets.
