Leeds United on the brink of losing key forward as three Serie A clubs enter the race

The 20-year-old had a strong 2023/24 season, scoring nine goals and providing three assists in 44 appearances, helping Leeds United secure a third-place finish in the Championship.

However, Leeds failed to return to the Premier League, losing 1-0 to Southampton in the playoff final.

After a disciplinary issue last season due to his refusal to play, Gnonto is expected to seek a move away from Elland Road this summer.

Gnonto has been linked with several Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United and Everton (per TEAMtalk).

However, a return to Italy now appears likely, with Inter Live reporting interest from Genoa, as well as newly-promoted Serie A teams Parma and Venezia.

A loan deal with an option to buy is considered the most probable scenario, with the promoted teams offering Gnonto the best chance of a regular starting role.

Leeds have already seen several high-profile departures this summer, including Archie Gray, Luis Sinisterra, and Glen Kamara, who moved to Tottenham, Bournemouth, and Rennes, respectively.
