Leeds United Rivals Target Triple Signing as Sheffield United Seek Jayden Bogle Replacements

With the new Championship season fast approaching, clubs are finalizing their pre-season preparations.

The summer transfer window has seen a flurry of activity, and with just over four weeks until the deadline, more deals are expected to be completed.

Leeds United have been particularly active, making four new signings. Meanwhile, let’s examine the activities of some of their rivals:

Sheffield United is exploring options for a new right-back, focusing on James Bree and Ki-Jana Hoever.

The Blades are in need of a replacement following the departure of Jayden Bogle. According to Alan Nixon, James Bree of Southampton is a potential target.

Bree, who is lower in the pecking order at St Mary’s, may be available if a move ensures him regular playing time, though Southampton is not in a hurry to sell.

Football Insider reports that Sheffield United is also interested in Ki-Jana Hoever, who has spent the last season and a half on loan at Stoke City.

In other transfer news, Hull City are in discussions with SV Darmstadt of Bundesliga 2 to sign Marvin Mehlem.

New manager Tim Walter, familiar with the German second tier, is leading the pursuit. Mehlem has been with Darmstadt since 2017, making 191 appearances and scoring 21 goals, with a brief stint in the top flight last season. Hull City has seen several key players leave this summer, including Jaden Philogene, Jacob Greaves, and Ozan Tufan.

They have brought in Ryan Giles and Cody Drameh permanently but will be active in the transfer market in the coming weeks.

Blackburn Rovers are also preparing for potential late-window moves. According to Alan Nixon, the club is considering three new signings if Sammie Szmodics is sold.

Targets include Birmingham City’s Siriki Dembele, Bournemouth’s James Hill, and RWD Molenbeek’s Makhtar Gueye.

While Hill is viewed as a potential loan signing, Dembele and Gueye are seen as options for permanent deals at Ewood Park.
