More importantly, we’ll be bringing our supporters with us, so the atmosphere is going to be electric. The noise, the energy — it’s going to be incredible.”

Coleman also reflected on the club’s rich past while stressing the importance of looking ahead. “This club had some phenomenal teams in the 1980s and great success back then.

But now it’s time to focus on the future — new owners, fresh ambitions. You’ve got to aim high, or you’re just surviving.”

As the move to the new stadium approaches, questions remain about Coleman’s future at the club.

Everton will play their final match at Goodison Park on May 18, facing Southampton in what will be an emotional farewell for fans and players alike.

It’s unclear, however, if Coleman will be part of Everton’s journey into the new era.

The Irish international’s contract expires at the end of the season, and injuries have limited him to just five appearances during this campaign — his lowest total since the 2017-18 season, when he was recovering from a serious leg injury.
