Leicester City Eye Winger Hailed as the ‘Signing of the Season’

Leicester City are reportedly among four English clubs showing interest in winger Oliver Antman.

According to Graeme Bailey of TBR Football, via EFL Analysis, Leeds United, Southampton, Sheffield United, and Leicester are all keeping tabs on the Go Ahead Eagles star.

Leeds, pushing for promotion to the Premier League, are said to have been tracking the Finnish winger for several weeks, while the other clubs, along with teams in Germany, France, and Italy, also monitor his progress.

Antman has enjoyed a standout season since joining Go Ahead Eagles last summer from FC Nordsjælland in Denmark.

The 23-year-old signed a three-year deal for €1 million and has since been hailed as the “signing of the season.”

He typically plays on the right wing but can also operate from the left.

So far, he has delivered 14 assists and scored six goals in 28 Eredivisie matches, helping the Eagles to seventh place in the Dutch top flight.

Antman has also represented Finland in both World Cup qualifiers and the Nations League.

With Leicester expected to return to the Championship and uncertainty surrounding Ruud van Nistelrooy’s future, predicting their summer transfer plans is difficult.

However, the club will see Abdul Fatawu return from injury and already have Stephy Mavididi, Jordan Ayew, and Bobby De Cordova-Reid in the squad.

Kasey McAteer is also back, while Jeremy Monga and Jake Evans have begun to make an impact.
