“Leicester City Fans Respond as £75,000-a-Week Star Is Linked to European Club in Potential Swap Deal”
Several Leicester City players could depart during the January 2025 transfer window.
The winter transfer window has barely been open for 24 hours, yet transfer rumors surrounding Leicester City are already rampant.
While the relegation-threatened side should prioritize incoming transfers, player exits also seem likely.
One potential departure is Hamza Choudhury, who has caught the attention of Sheffield United.
Although it remains unclear whether Leicester would entertain a sale, the move could be logical.
Choudhury has had limited Premier League game time this season, as Leicester’s midfield is currently one of the club’s best-stocked areas.
Meanwhile, Odsonne Edouard, who has failed to score a single goal since his loan move in August, might part ways with the club in January.
Additionally, speculation suggests that Patson Daka could also leave King Power Stadium this month.

Leicester City Fans React to Patson Daka Being Offered to AS Monaco
Reports from French outlet Jeunes Footeux indicate that Daka has been offered to Ligue 1 side AS Monaco.
The news has sparked reactions among Foxes fans on social media, with many believing it is time for him to move on.
One fan suggested: “Could look at a swap deal for Wilfried Singo.” Another added: “Love him, but he has to go.”
A third supporter commented: “It would be nice to get some money for him. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been at the level we need.
Even though he hasn’t performed well over the years, it’s still sad because I’ve grown to like him.
When he’s at his best, he’s one of our top players. I still have hope for him.”
Another fan criticized Leicester’s scouting, stating: “The only club that could scout a forward at Red Bull Salzburg and come away with Daka rather than Haaland!”
Others were more pragmatic, with one writing: “You hope this is legit! Clubs on the continent are notoriously short of cash, so it’ll likely be a loan where we pay part of his wages.
Still, it would be good to finally get him off our books.”
A sixth fan concluded: “Daka was a transfer that didn’t work. These things either come off, or they don’t. This one didn’t.”
What Ruud van Nistelrooy Has Said About Patson Daka
Patson Daka joined Leicester City in 2021 on a contract worth £75,000 per week, running until 2026, according to Capology.
Despite showing potential, he has struggled to make a significant impact in England.
However, Leicester manager Ruud van Nistelrooy appears to be a fan of the 26-year-old striker.

During his time as PSV manager, Van Nistelrooy reportedly attempted to sign Daka.
After replacing Steve Cooper at Leicester, the Dutchman continued to speak positively about Daka.
Following Daka’s Foxes debut against West Ham United and before the 2-2 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion, Van Nistelrooy praised the striker’s attributes:
“Exactly what he showed. You saw his quality. Two, actually.
Pressing off the ball with intensity, which makes it easier for those behind him to follow up and engage in duels.
Also, in the goal he scored – his pace and ability to time runs behind defenses are qualities that can hurt opponents.”
Whether Van Nistelrooy’s stance has changed remains to be seen.
However, if Daka departs, Leicester will likely need to secure another striker to fill the void.
