“Leicester City in CRISIS: Star Player BANNED for LIFE After SHOCKING Surgery Fiasco, SIX Devastating Injuries ROCK Team!”

Mads Hermansen Ruled Out for Remainder of Season as Jakub Stolarczyk Set to Start Against Southampton and Beyond

Mads Hermansen will not feature for Leicester City again this season after undergoing surgery on a groin injury.

The Danish goalkeeper will miss the final four matches, with manager Ruud van Nistelrooy confirming that Jakub Stolarczyk will step in for the remainder of the campaign, starting with this weekend’s clash against Southampton.

Hermansen initially picked up the injury during December’s defeat to Newcastle but returned to action after just over a month.

Since then, he had been playing through the issue, carefully managed by Leicester’s medical and conditioning staff.

However, the club has now opted for surgery to ensure he is fit for the start of pre-season.

Van Nistelrooy addressed the situation during Thursday’s press conference, stating, “Mads Hermansen had an operation, so Jakub will take over for the rest of the season.

It was important to act now so he can be ready for pre-season rather than delay recovery.”

The manager explained that the issue had persisted since late last year and that the club had previously decided against surgery to keep Hermansen available for matches.

“He had a significant period where we had to prepare him to play without an operation. The medical and fitness teams did a great job keeping him going,” Van Nistelrooy added.

Now, with Leicester already relegated, the decision to move forward with surgery was easier. “Jakub is a great number two and this gives him valuable experience,” the manager said. “This solution works well for both players.”

Given ongoing transfer speculation and Leicester’s impending drop into the Championship, Hermansen may have played his final game for the club.

Van Nistelrooy concluded, “Yes, he has been playing through this injury, and now it’s about getting him ready for the future.”
