We’ve got a lot of new players and a new style of play. Some players are still adapting after the David Moyes era, so there’s a lot to adjust to.”
Ferdinand continued, “I’m still very excited. I think the manager needs time, and the fans should be patient.
Once it all clicks, this pressure will disappear, and the supporters will be buzzing.”
Lopetegui received considerable backing in the transfer window, bringing in quality players such as Max Kilman, Crysencio Summerville, Jean-Clair Todibo, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
However, the team’s performances and results have yet to reflect this investment.
This weekend, Lopetegui’s squad has a prime opportunity to turn things around as they face Ipswich Town, a team still searching for their first victory of the season.
A win could relieve some of the mounting pressure on the manager and restore confidence in the team’s potential.
