Despite speculation over his future during the summer and leading up to the January window, Coufal remains with West Ham.

Reports from Turkey now claim that Galatasaray is interested in signing the 32-year-old before their transfer window closes on February 11th.

Yet, West Ham insider Sean Whetstone, a close confidant of club chairman David Sullivan, insists that Coufal is not going anywhere.

Coufal, who has made 173 appearances for West Ham over the past four and a half years, has been a reliable servant for the club.

Nevertheless, his pace has increasingly become a liability, often leaving him vulnerable to quick wingers.

While he has always given his best and embodies the club’s spirit, it’s clear that he may no longer be at the peak of his powers.

It seems sensible for West Ham to keep Coufal until the end of the season.

After that, they could part ways in the summer, allowing him to leave on a fitting note.
