Harry Toffolo Linked with Norwich and Rangers After City Ground Exit on Free Transfer
Leicester City are reportedly considering a move for former Nottingham Forest left-back Harry Toffolo, but only if Victor Kristiansen departs during this transfer window.
Toffolo, now a free agent after leaving the City Ground, is said to be on Leicester’s radar, according to The Sun.
At 29, he could make a short move across the Midlands if the deal materialises.
The Foxes’ interest hinges on the future of Kristiansen, who suffered an injury in a recent pre-season victory over OH Leuven.
The Danish defender previously spent time on loan at Bologna following Leicester’s relegation.
Currently, City have Luke Thomas as a natural option at left-back. The academy product ended last season as the club’s preferred choice in that role.
On the opposite flank, they are well-stocked with James Justin, Ricardo Pereira, and new signing Woyo Coulibaly, all capable of playing right-back.
Rising talent Bade Aluko is also progressing through the academy.
Though primarily a centre-back, he has shown versatility by covering both full-back positions during pre-season.
Adding Toffolo would give Leicester an experienced, natural left-back.
He rose to prominence during a standout spell with Huddersfield Town in the Championship before joining Nottingham Forest after the Terriers lost the 2022 play-off final to the Reds.
Toffolo played a decent role in Forest’s early Premier League campaigns, but his involvement dwindled last season as Neco Williams and Alex Moreno were preferred.
He did start in the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City but managed just seven appearances across all competitions.
Since being released at the end of his contract, Toffolo has attracted interest from both Rangers and Norwich City—the latter being the club where he began his professional career.
