Leicester City could face a significant loss this summer amid speculation that veteran midfielder Wilfred Ndidi may leave if the Foxes suffer relegation.

The Nigerian international has been a key figure at Leicester since his arrival from Genk in 2017.

Over the past eight years, the defensive midfielder has made 295 appearances, scoring 18 goals and providing 21 assists.

Ndidi has been a pillar of stability, experiencing both highs and lows, from the Champions League to the Championship.

However, his time in England may soon end.

According to Turkish-Football.com, Ndidi is not keen on another stint in the second tier and is open to joining Galatasaray, where he could play Champions League football.

The Istanbul club showed interest in him last summer but failed to finalize a deal.

With Leicester facing relegation again, reports suggest he is now considering other options.

Once valued at £50 million, Ndidi’s market worth has dropped to around £15 million, according to Transfermarkt, and he has a few seasons remaining on his contract.

Despite Leicester’s inconsistent performances this season, Galatasaray remain impressed by Ndidi’s contributions last year, when he played a crucial role in their Championship-winning campaign.

At Galatasaray, he would provide valuable depth in defensive midfield, though he would face competition for a starting spot.

The club already has two established midfielders in former Arsenal and Uruguay international Lucas Torreira and ex-Norwich City player Gabriel Sara.

With Galatasaray maintaining their interest, Ndidi’s future remains uncertain, but a move to Turkey could offer him a fresh challenge and the opportunity to compete at the highest level again.
