“‘Done deal very soon’ – Sky journalist reports West Ham are nearing another signing following Todibo”

West Ham United are in “advanced talks” with Manchester United to secure a permanent deal for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with a medical planned for the coming days, according to Florian Plettenberg.

The Hammers have been active in the transfer market this summer, securing seven new arrivals, including three in the last week.

Jean-Clair Todibo is also set to join after West Ham successfully hijacked a deal that was initially taking him to Juventus.

Tim Steidten is now pushing ahead with plans to finalize a deal for Wan-Bissaka. Talks had previously stalled over a compensation package, as Wan-Bissaka is in the final year of his contract at Old Trafford.

West Ham to Finalize Wan-Bissaka Deal

According to Sky Sports Germany journalist Plettenberg, the two clubs are in “advanced talks” to finalize the deal for the right-back, with both parties aiming to complete it by Saturday.

A medical is scheduled to take place within the next 72 hours, with Wan-Bissaka having already agreed to personal terms on a six-year deal at the London Stadium.

The report suggests that it will be a “done deal very soon,” with the former Crystal Palace player set to become the eighth summer signing for Julen Lopetegui.

The Spaniard has already signed Luis Guilherme, Wes Foderingham, Max Kilman, Crysencio Summerville, Niclas Fullkrug, and Guido Rodriguez, with Todibo set to follow shortly after signing a long-term deal from OGC Nice on an initial loan with an obligation to buy.

West Ham made Wan-Bissaka their primary target for the right-back position after a deal for Noussair Mazraoui collapsed, as the Moroccan rejected the move in favor of Old Trafford.

However, that move couldn’t progress until Wan-Bissaka was sold, and it seems the domino effect allowing all moves to progress has now fallen.

Wan-Bissaka has made 190 appearances for Manchester United since his £50 million move from Crystal Palace in 2019, scoring twice.

West Ham Sign Jean-Clair Todibo

Attention turned to Wan-Bissaka after Steidten completed a successful move to sign Todibo from Nice on Friday.

The Hammers had pursued Todibo earlier in the window, but he prioritized a move to Juventus.

However, the Serie A giants couldn’t agree on a deal with the Ligue 1 club, allowing Steidten to swoop in by traveling to France and agreeing to terms with the player.

Todibo has signed a long-term deal, with only an official announcement pending.
