Leicester City’s Next Five Fixtures are Critical for Steve Cooper, with Three Winnable Matches – Opinion

Leicester City Aiming for First Premier League Win of the Season After the International Break

Leicester City has endured a challenging start to the season under Steve Cooper, securing only one point thus far.

They’ve faced tough competition early on, but managed a commendable draw against Tottenham Hotspur and were unfortunate not to come away with anything from their match against Aston Villa.

Their performance against Fulham was less impressive, leaving them disappointed, but the upcoming fixtures present a significant opportunity to turn their season around.

The next five matches appear more favorable, providing a chance for Leicester to correct their course.

However, it will be a stern test for Cooper as he strives to ensure the Foxes’ safety in the Premier League this season.

These upcoming games will play a key role in determining if Leicester City is ready to fight for survival.

Leicester City’s Next Five Fixtures:

After the international break, Leicester will jump straight into action with a trip to Crystal Palace for a 3 pm Saturday kick-off.

A week later, they welcome Everton to the King Power Stadium.

The most challenging game in this stretch will be an away fixture against Arsenal, but they’ll follow that up with a home game against Bournemouth.

The fifth fixture in this series will see Leicester visit Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium.

Winnable Games for Leicester City:

Among these fixtures, the two home games against Everton and Bournemouth are crucial opportunities for Cooper to get much-needed points.

Despite not having secured a win in the 2024/25 Premier League campaign so far, Leicester has already delivered respectable performances at home against strong opponents.

There’s every reason to believe they can build on these performances and collect more points in the coming matches.

The away trip to Southampton also looks like a promising chance for Leicester, especially since Southampton, another recently promoted side, has struggled this season.

They have yet to earn a point and have only scored once, making this a favorable fixture for Leicester to target for a win.

While an away match against Crystal Palace could be tricky, it’s not beyond Leicester’s reach to come away with a result.

The game against Arsenal will undoubtedly be the toughest challenge in this series, but a strong, respectable performance against such a formidable opponent could boost their confidence and set them up for more winnable matches in the weeks ahead.
