Leicester City Kick Off Pre-Season with Friendly Clash Against Peterborough United

Andy King has named a strong Leicester City starting XI for their opening pre-season friendly against Peterborough United at Seagrave.
With the club still searching for a replacement for Ruud van Nistelrooy, King is temporarily leading first-team training.
A number of Leicester players have returned for pre-season, and many will feature in today’s match.
Speaking to LCFC TV, King confirmed that 20 players will get minutes, with a complete team change planned at half-time. “It’s always nice to have a game early in pre-season,” he said.
“The lads want to be back playing. Everyone will get 45 minutes, and they’ve worked really hard this week.”
Ricardo Pereira, Stephy Mavididi, and Harry Winks are among the senior players starting, while promising defender Ben Nelson—back from a successful loan at Oxford United—also features. Wanya Marcal starts as well.
Bilal El Khannouss, Mads Hermansen, and Abdul Fatawu are unavailable for this fixture.
Several youngsters are expected to appear in the second half, including Jeremy Monga, Will Alves, Sammy Braybrooke, and Louis Page.
They’re joined on the bench by senior players James Justin, Boubakary Soumare, and Ola Aluko.
Starting XI: Stolarczyk; Ricardo, Okoli, Nelson, L. Thomas; Winks, Skipp; Marcal, Golding, Mavididi; Evans.
