Leicester City’s Summer Transfer Pursuits

Leicester City has been less active in the summer transfer market compared to fellow newly promoted clubs Southampton and Ipswich Town, with only four new signings joining the King Power Stadium.

However, this doesn’t mean the Foxes aren’t trying to bolster their squad ahead of the Premier League season starting next weekend. Among those linked to a move to Steve Cooper’s team is Fabio Carvalho from Liverpool.

Leicester’s interest in Liverpool players doesn’t stop with Carvalho. They are also working on a deal to bring in another promising Liverpool youngster to strengthen their attacking options.

According to a report by the Express, Ben Doak has been given the green light to leave Liverpool in search of first-team football, after being involved with the senior squad under new Dutch boss Arne Slot this pre-season.

Brentford has joined the race for the 18-year-old’s services, with Leicester and Southampton also keen on securing the slick winger to aid their Premier League survival quests following promotion.

Leicester is also leading the race to sign David Datro Fofana from Chelsea on loan, aiming to add more young talent to their roster.
