Duran, 21, was considered one of the top young strikers in Europe before moving to Saudi Arabia.

Known for his powerful shots and finishing ability, he was reportedly enthusiastic about the prospect of joining West Ham before his eventual transfer elsewhere.

With the Hammers likely needing to rely on loan deals due to Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), a temporary move for Duran could be ideal.

He would add much-needed firepower up front, offering a level of finishing quality that the current squad lacks.

Duran’s prior Premier League experience is another bonus, and at a time when West Ham must be shrewd in the market, a low-cost, high-upside move like this makes sense.

Chairman David Sullivan has lost the trust of many fans, with last year’s failed pursuit of Duran cited among numerous broken promises.

Securing the Colombian now—especially on a loan deal with reduced wages—could go a long way toward repairing that damaged relationship.
