Leicester scouts monitoring “impressive” Europa League striker with 10 goals this season
Leicester City have been monitoring a highly rated young striker in recent weeks, but they could face competition from Premier League rivals Crystal Palace, according to reports.

With a third of the Premier League season remaining, Leicester find themselves in a precarious position, sitting two points from safety.
Their poor form since the end of 2024 has seen them lose nine of their last ten league matches, including a recent 2-0 defeat at home to Arsenal.
As a result, the Foxes are in serious danger of an immediate return to the Championship.
Planning for the summer transfer window is challenging when a club’s league status is uncertain.
However, Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side has been linked with several attacking options in recent weeks.
Hertha BSC midfielder Ibrahim Maza is among their reported targets, and a new report from Denmark now claims Leicester are also scouting FC Midtjylland striker Franculino Dju.
The relegation-threatened side has reportedly sent officials to observe Dju multiple times in recent weeks, with the most recent scouting mission taking place during Midtjylland’s match against Lyngby.
If Leicester decide to make a formal approach this summer, they could face competition from Crystal Palace, while Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen and Serie A club Torino have previously been linked with the striker.
Dju’s Standout Performances in Denmark
The 20-year-old burst onto the scene in the Danish Superliga last season, registering 11 goals and six assists.
He has continued his impressive form this campaign, scoring 10 times across 26 appearances in all competitions, including a Europa League goal against Maccabi Tel Aviv.
While Dju is not currently playing in one of Europe’s top leagues, his performances at a young age have made him a key player for Midtjylland.
He has also earned praise from the media for his displays at youth level, further highlighting his potential.
Leicester would be wise to pursue a move for the promising striker this summer.
However, their ability to secure his signature may ultimately depend on whether they can retain their Premier League status.
