Liverpool’s ‘plan’ for Mohammed Kudus transfer revealed alongside Mohamed Salah speculation

Liverpool’s summer transfer plans are set to intensify in the coming weeks as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Saturday marks the beginning of Arne Slot’s tenure as head coach of the Reds, following Jurgen Klopp’s departure after nearly nine years at the helm. Slot’s mission is to guide Liverpool to major honours next season.

The Reds will compete in the revamped Champions League and aim to contend for the Premier League title. However, a busy summer transfer window is expected first.

Recently, Liverpool has been linked with numerous potential signings, with the past 24 hours bringing a surge of rumors about possible deals before the window closes.

Reports suggest Liverpool is interested in West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus. According to Football Transfers, Kudus has emerged as a potential target to bolster Liverpool’s forward options. Kudus is seen as a possible long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah on the right wing. Recent reports indicate that Kudus might have an £85 million release clause in his contract with West Ham, having joined them last summer from Ajax for £38 million.

In addition, TV Azteca, a Mexico-based news outlet, reports that Liverpool is interested in Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez. The Reds are reportedly competing with Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton, and Leeds United for his signature.

Gimenez, who was signed by incoming Liverpool head coach Slot, has spent the last two seasons at Feyenoord after arriving from Cruz Azul in 2022. During his time at Feyenoord, Gimenez has scored 49 goals and provided 11 assists in 86 appearances for the Eredivisie club.

With these potential signings, Liverpool aims to strengthen their squad significantly ahead of the new season, hoping to be serious contenders in both domestic and European competitions.
