“Everton’s SHOCKING Transfer Coup: Moyes OBSESSED with Midfield WIZARD Set to DOMINATE the Premier League!”

Everton Intensify Pursuit of Midfield “Magician” as Moyes Targets Key Additions

Everton are stepping up their efforts to sign a talented midfield playmaker, with manager David Moyes reportedly a strong admirer of the player in question, according to a new report.

The club’s transfer strategy for the upcoming 2025–26 season is starting to take shape as they prepare for a major new chapter.

With a move to the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium on the horizon, the Friedkin Group is eager to make impactful signings to usher in this fresh era.

Among the marquee targets is Manchester City’s John Stones. The club is exploring the possibility of bringing the centre-back back to Merseyside.

Additionally, Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap has emerged as a striking option amid growing uncertainty over Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s future, as the forward has yet to sign a new contract.

Moyes is also keen to reinforce the midfield. He has already pushed for the permanent signing of Carlos Alcaraz, who has been on loan from Flamengo since January.

However, the spotlight is now on another potential addition from Ligue 1—Angel Gomes.

According to GiveMeSport, Moyes is a long-time admirer of Gomes, who looks set to depart Lille on a free transfer this summer.

Everton are now intensifying their approach to land the former Manchester United man, although competition is fierce.

Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, and West Ham United are also reportedly pursuing the 24-year-old.

Everton’s urgency in midfield recruitment is further driven by the potential exits of three current players—Abdoulaye Doucouré, Idrissa Gueye, and Orel Mangala—whose contracts are due to expire in the coming months.

Why Gomes Would Be a Valuable Addition

Though his recent campaign has been disrupted by injuries, Angel Gomes has previously excelled in Ligue 1, showcasing the quality that once earned him a call-up to the England national team.

French football expert Julien Laurens praised Gomes earlier this season, calling him “one of the best players in Ligue 1” and noting there was “no doubt” about his abilities.

During his full international debut against Finland, the attacking midfielder impressed with sharp passing and a drive to push play forward.

Gomes has also been commended by peers. Nottingham Forest’s Jonathan Panzo once described him as a “magician,” emphasizing his intelligence and ability to control the tempo despite his smaller stature.

Given his creative flair and versatility, it’s easy to see why Everton are eager to bring him in.

Still, with strong competition for his signature, securing the Lille midfielder won’t be a simple task.
