Ben Davies addresses questions about his Rangers future following Birmingham loan move

Ben Davies has stated that he is not focused on his future at Rangers, instead prioritizing his performances at Birmingham City on loan before addressing his contract at Ibrox.

The centre-back moved to the English League One side in August on a loan deal for the remainder of the season.

After an inconsistent period at Rangers, he has become a regular starter under manager Chris Davies.

Despite Birmingham City fans expressing their desire for him to stay, the 29-year-old has emphasized that he is not contemplating his future beyond the summer. His loan deal does not include a buy clause.

“I don’t pay attention to social media,” Davies explained. “If fans are supporting me, it’s flattering, and I appreciate it.”

On his future after the season, he told Birmingham Live: “I haven’t thought about it yet. I came here to focus on a year’s loan and to get back to form after a stop-start time at Rangers.

I’m happy with my progress but haven’t looked beyond now.”

Davies added that when he first arrived at Birmingham, he recognized the squad’s depth and quality, especially defensively.

It took time to adjust, but after a steady run of games, he feels good about his situation.
