Manager acknowledges his £30m player might depart before the deadline, with Tottenham still having an ‘outside chance’ to sign him.

After 18 months of speculation, Ivan Toney could finally be on the verge of leaving Brentford.

The England international has been linked with a move away from West London for a while, and as the final week of the summer transfer window approaches, he could soon be leaving.

Recently, Ivan Toney has been associated with Tottenham, and even after acquiring Dominic Solanke, Tottenham still has a chance of signing Toney.

Thomas Frank spoke to the BBC about Toney’s future, indicating that a deal for the £30m striker could be finalized by Friday, with multiple clubs potentially interested.

Ivan Toney would be an excellent option for Tottenham if they are still in the market for a striker.

The centre-forward has a proven goal-scoring record in the Premier League, and joining Spurs would give him the opportunity to play in European competitions this season.

Although the presence of Dominic Solanke at Tottenham complicates the situation, interest from Saudi Arabian clubs in Richarlison could create an opening for Toney in the team.

It remains uncertain if Tottenham will be one of the teams pursuing Toney, but it seems likely there will be some developments on this front before the weekend.

As the transfer deadline approaches, Toney is certainly a player to watch closely.
