Manager Stunned by Potential Major Injury Blow for Leicester City Loanee

Leicester City Loanee Suffers Injury During Sheffield United Defeat

Leicester City loanee Harry Souttar could be facing a serious injury setback after limping off during Sheffield United’s Boxing Day loss to promotion rivals Burnley.

The defender has been a crucial part of the Blades’ campaign while on loan at Bramall Lane this season.

However, there are growing concerns that he could face an extended period on the sidelines.

Souttar suffered the injury late in United’s 2-0 home defeat to the Clarets, slipping on the turf and damaging his left ankle.

He needed assistance from medical staff to leave the field, prompting fears of a significant issue.

Blades boss Chris Wilder admitted the situation looked worrying.

“There might be a big blow coming with Souttar because that didn’t look great, and his reaction to coming off wasn’t good,” Wilder said.

“He’s a brave old soldier, but that didn’t look great.

“We’ll have to wait and see what the scan results show. It doesn’t look good, but we’ll know more once the results come through.”
