“Marti Cifuentes Drops BOMBSHELL Hint at Leicester City’s SHOCK Striker Signing – You Won’t Believe Who’s Coming!”

Marti Cifuentes has kept the door open for Leicester City to sign a striker before the transfer deadline, though he admitted such a deal would be expensive and difficult to secure.

The City boss confirmed that funds are available and hinted that the results of the club’s behind-the-scenes efforts will be revealed before Monday’s 7pm deadline.

However, he stressed that finding a proven goalscorer is one of the toughest challenges in football, both in terms of availability and cost.

It is also the one signing supporters are most desperate for, particularly with club legend Jamie Vardy still not adequately replaced.

At present, Cifuentes is relying on Jordan Ayew and Patson Daka to lead the line, but he indicated that situation could yet change.

“All fans always want another striker, one who can score 35 goals a season,” he said. “But the reality is the striker market is not easy and usually very expensive.

“Patson Daka is our pure striker, who plays more on the shoulder of defenders and makes runs in behind.

Jordan Ayew has also played up front throughout his career, including with the national team, but he is more of a hybrid forward who can also operate as a number 10, what I call a nine-and-a-half.

We are working with these two for now, but we’ll see what the next few days bring.”

Both Ayew and Daka found the net under Cifuentes in pre-season, yet neither has scored in four competitive matches this term. Their recent records do not inspire much confidence either.

While not always used as an out-and-out striker, Ayew has managed just one goal every 10 matches across the past five seasons, raising concerns over Leicester’s attacking firepower heading into the campaign.
