Max Kilman thinks David Coote made the correct call in awarding West Ham a late penalty during their 2-1 victory over Manchester United on Sunday (October 27).
West Ham secured a much-needed victory at home, thanks to a controversial penalty decision in the dying moments of the match.
Initially, referee Coote dismissed the penalty appeals from West Ham’s players, but after a VAR review, he reversed his decision.
In a statement on West Ham’s official website on October 29, defender Kilman expressed his agreement with the decision, saying, “I looked at it again and thought that was the right decision.
It’s the referee’s job, and he had the opportunity to review it on VAR, so I believe he got it right.”
Despite this victory, West Ham United must capitalize on this win to improve their Premier League performance.
Currently sitting 13th in the league, they appear to be a mid-table team, even after significant summer investments.
