Graham Potter is eager to resolve West Ham United’s ongoing attacking problems this summer and has reportedly set his sights on Dominic Calvert-Lewin as a key solution.
The England international, who has been with Everton since 2016, is nearing the end of his contract, which expires this summer.

The 28-year-old Calvert-Lewin has reportedly turned down Everton’s latest contract offer. West Ham are said to be willing to offer him a more lucrative package, potentially exceeding his current £100,000-a-week wages.
Contact between West Ham and Everton was made on Friday, 13 June, as the club looked to assess the feasibility of securing his signature.
Interestingly, Calvert-Lewin was offered to West Ham last summer for a fee of £35 million. However, then-chairman David Sullivan opted against the deal due to concerns over the striker’s fitness record.
Now, with the player available on a free transfer, the situation has changed significantly — and the Hammers may have saved a significant sum by waiting.
Despite his recent injury struggles, Calvert-Lewin remains a high-potential signing. In the 2020/21 season, he scored 21 goals across all competitions and earned a spot in England’s Euro 2020 squad.
However, injury setbacks have seen him score just 18 goals over the past four seasons.
If Potter can help the striker stay fit, West Ham could land one of the most cost-effective deals of the summer.
