Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing to make an official bid for Nottingham Forest star Callum Hudson-Odoi this summer, according to Football Insider.
Despite having four specialist wingers and Manor Solomon, who has been sidelined since last September, Spurs appear well-resourced in wide areas. However, manager Ange Postecoglou seems keen on adding another winger ahead of the next season.
Football Insider reports that Tottenham are interested in Hudson-Odoi and are ready to make an offer before June 30. Nottingham Forest, having breached the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules, need to sell players to balance their books before July. Thus, they are open to cashing in on Hudson-Odoi this summer, with a potential fee of around £30 million.
Hudson-Odoi was once considered one of Europe’s top young talents, though his progress was hampered by injuries. Since joining Nottingham Forest, the Chelsea graduate has started to rediscover his form, catching Tottenham’s attention.
Versatile and technically gifted, Hudson-Odoi can play on either flank and is adept at dribbling past defenders in tight areas. At 23, he is capable of delivering excellent crosses and finishing his chances, with plenty of time left to develop his career further.
If Tottenham secure his signature, Hudson-Odoi could be a valuable addition to their squad. It remains to be seen if the North London club will formalize their interest in the upcoming transfer window.
