The center-back has reportedly instructed his agent, Jorge Mendes, to generate interest, with Newcastle listed as one of his preferred destinations.

Among them is Bruno Guimaraes, who has frequently been linked with a potential move. Manchester City is believed to be a keen admirer of the Brazilian midfielder.
Former Premier League striker Stan Collymore has urged Newcastle to retain Guimaraes, at least for now.
Speaking to CaughtOffside, Collymore stated, “I think Newcastle would be crazy to sell Bruno Guimaraes in January.
If Man City’s interest is real, the end of the season might be a more sensible time to consider cashing in.”
He added, “City could see him as a player to freshen things up, but not during the January window. Newcastle must avoid weakening their squad mid-season.”
