“Nearer to Completion” | West Ham Closing in on Right-Back Deal Despite Some Hurdles

The Aaron Wan-Bissaka transfer saga has been intriguing. Initially, West Ham struggled to persuade Wan-Bissaka and hesitated to meet Manchester United’s demands.

However, mutual interest in Mazraoui led United to lower their demands for Wan-Bissaka.

Recently, talks have progressed positively. Although a deal isn’t finalized yet, it’s edging closer, according to Dharmesh Sheth of The West Ham Way.

He told GIVEMESPORT, “This one’s getting closer. Like the Fullkrug deal, many elements have been agreed between Manchester United and West Ham.

There’s still work on the fee and payment structure, with United’s asking price at £15m-plus.”

Beyond club agreements, personal terms with Wan-Bissaka remain a challenge. While he is more open to the move now, his £90,000-per-week wages have been a consistent sticking point for West Ham.

If the deal goes through, West Ham would acquire one of the Premier League’s best defensive full-backs at a bargain.

Although just one piece of the puzzle, this signing could help the club reach the next level.
