Lazio are said to be considering offloading Guendouzi following their failure to secure European football.
His reputation has grown since he left England, although there were moments during his Arsenal days where he made an impression.
One such instance was the North London Derby, when Arsenal came back to draw 2-2 and Guendouzi’s display earned praise from club legends Thierry Henry and Robert Pires, who called him a “warrior.”
He made 82 senior appearances for the Gunners but ultimately left with his full potential unrealized.
Since then, he has improved during spells at Marseille and now Lazio. If Newcastle are seriously considering him as a replacement for Tonali, Guendouzi will have a significant opportunity to prove himself.
