Finance Expert: Premier League has verified Friedkin funds, paving the way for progress at Everton.
Dan Plumley: Premier League officials have verified The Friedkin Group’s funds ahead of Everton takeover confirmation.

The Friedkin Group’s takeover of Everton appears to be just hours away from being confirmed, with Farhad Moshiri likely having overseen his final Premier League game in charge against Arsenal (Alan Myers).
Football finance expert Kieran Maguire has revealed that proof of funds will have been reviewed, allowing the Friedkins to proceed with their immediate plans for the club.
“There’s some uncertainty about what happens when Moshiri exits,” Maguire exclusively told Goodison News.
“The Premier League would have required proof of funds from the new ownership group, and if they’re ratifying the takeover, it means they’ve seen those funds.
That’s a positive step forward for the club as the transition happens.”

Friedkin Funds and Everton’s Future
With the January transfer window approaching, the new owners are expected to move quickly on their plans.
“If the takeover is finalized in time, the Friedkins may be able to activate some of their strategies right away,” said Maguire.
“This might not necessarily involve heavy spending, but it could reduce the pressure to sell players like Jarrad Branthwaite, for example.
“There are many moving parts behind the scenes, but the important thing is that this signals a brighter future for Everton.”
The long-awaited takeover news is exactly what fans at Goodison Park have been hoping for.
With an official announcement potentially arriving today, 18 December, supporters are eagerly awaiting confirmation that could usher in a new era for the club and bring excitement back to the blue half of Merseyside.
