BOMBSHELL TRANSFER ALERT! Newcastle United in EXPLOSIVE Talks to Smash £50M Deal for Premier League WINGER Who’s LIGHT YEARS Better Than Munoz – He Will Absolutely DESTROY the League! (Opinion: This signing could change EVERYTHING for the Toon – you NEED to see this!)

Newcastle United have suffered a major setback in their summer transfer plans after missing out on Osasuna winger Victor Munoz, who has opted to join Liverpool despite strong interest from St. James’ Park.
The late change of heart leaves manager Eddie Howe and the club’s recruitment team searching for alternatives as they look to strengthen ahead of the new season.
The disappointment is likely to worry Newcastle supporters, particularly after a difficult transfer campaign last summer.

The club missed out on several key targets and eventually brought in players who failed to make a significant impact during the 2025/26 season.
With Anthony Gordon no longer part of the squad, replacing his influence has become a priority.
Munoz had been viewed as an ideal successor due to his pace, physicality and direct attacking style.
Gordon’s departure left a sizeable gap in the team, especially considering he scored 17 goals in all competitions last season and was one of Newcastle’s most important attacking outlets.
However, with the Spanish winger now heading to Anfield, technical director Ross Wilson has turned his attention elsewhere.

According to reports, Newcastle have already opened discussions regarding Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli.
The Brazilian’s future at the Emirates Stadium remains uncertain, and while Arsenal were previously believed to value him at around £50 million, a deal could now be negotiated for less.
Although Martinelli has endured a difficult period and managed just one Premier League goal during the 2025/26 campaign, his quality remains unquestioned.
At 25, he is entering his prime years and could benefit from a move that offers him a more prominent role.
There is also a strong argument that Martinelli would be a better signing than Munoz. Unlike the Osasuna winger, the Brazilian has already proven himself at the highest level in England.
His standout 2022/23 season, when he scored 15 Premier League goals, demonstrated his ability to be a decisive attacking threat.
Munoz remains an exciting prospect, but his return of six goals and two assists in La Liga last season suggests he is still developing. Martinelli, meanwhile, has already shown he can thrive in the Premier League and perform for a title-winning side.
If Howe can help him rediscover his best form, the Arsenal star could become the ideal replacement for Gordon and a key figure in Newcastle’s revival.
