“Newcastle United DESPERATELY Chase Chelsea’s HIDDEN GEM Who Worships Bruno Guimaraes – You WON’T Believe Why!”
Newcastle United have demonstrated patience in securing signings during the PIF era.

Newcastle United appear willing to play the long game when it comes to landing their key transfer targets.
Both Sven Botman and Anthony Gordon, for instance, joined the club in the windows following their initial links to St James’ Park.
With that approach in mind, it’s no surprise that the Magpies are once again being linked with Chelsea’s Andrey Santos.
The young Brazilian midfielder, currently impressing on loan at Strasbourg, has openly stated that Bruno Guimaraes is his footballing idol.
Strasbourg manager Liam Rosenior had high praise for Santos in January, telling The Athletic, “Andrey is going to have a magnificent career. You forget how young some of them are. Andrey plays like he’s 32.”

Newcastle were keen on Santos back in 2023 but ultimately lost out to Chelsea. Now, however, the circumstances may have changed.
Newcastle reignite interest in Santos
According to Caught Offside, Newcastle are one of several clubs monitoring the 20-year-old midfielder.
The report suggests Santos is not entirely convinced about returning to Chelsea next season, opening the door for a potential move. He’s reportedly valued at around £38-£42 million.
Chelsea have shown a willingness to offload players in recent transfer windows, making a deal feasible.
Alongside Newcastle, Arsenal, Tottenham, Paris Saint-Germain, and AC Milan are also reportedly keeping tabs on the situation.
What does Santos bring to the pitch?
Santos has previously referred to Newcastle as a “good team,” and he could potentially strengthen them further.
A recent Ligue 1 profile highlighted his ability to control games both defensively and with his distribution, noting a clear growth in maturity.
A dynamic all-rounder in midfield, Santos has been a standout for Strasbourg this season, scoring nine goals and averaging 3.5 tackles per match — more than any of his teammates.

Starts: 28 | Goals: 9 | Assists: 3 | Tackles per game: 3.5
While central midfield isn’t a top priority for Newcastle this season — thanks to the performances of Guimaraes, Sandro Tonali, and Joelinton — their ongoing interest in Santos is understandable.
His availability would undoubtedly be a tempting opportunity for the club.
