Newcastle are said to be “one of several clubs” interested in the 23-year-old, as Milan are reportedly open to selling some regular starters this summer.
Links between Thiaw and Newcastle have persisted for weeks, and the club appears to be stepping up their interest. Thiaw offers composure and strength in both possession and defence.
In Serie A this season, he has posted a 93.4% pass accuracy and averaged 3.5 clearances per match—numbers that reflect both calmness and commitment.
Eddie Howe has previously acknowledged Thiaw’s quality, stating: “There’s no updates on that. I’m always reluctant to comment on these things, but he’s a player I know about, of course I do, from our games in the Champions League against Milan and yeah, he’s a very good player, but that’s it.”
