Tottenham’s signing of Mohammed Kudus marks their first West Ham capture since 2011.

Ironically, Solomon was signed by Leeds United to replace Summerville after West Ham brought in the Dutchman for £30 million in 2024.
And despite Summerville being named Championship Player of the Year, Solomon arguably had the greater overall impact, contributing 10 goals and 12 assists in 39 matches, including a dramatic late winner at Plymouth Argyle that helped secure Leeds’ promotion.
Naturally, rumours of a return to Elland Road have resurfaced.
However, Sport5 journalist Avi Meller believes a move to West Ham would be a better fit, praising Nuno’s ability to maximise the potential of wide players.
The manager previously elevated Adama Traoré at Wolves and revitalised Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga at Nottingham Forest.
His reported interest in reuniting with Traoré at West Ham adds weight to the idea that he may want another winger.
Tottenham were said to value Solomon at around £20 million in the summer, and with no buy option in Villarreal’s loan agreement, Spurs are expected to seek a permanent sale in 2026.
But Solomon’s agent, Shlomi Ben Ezra, insists the player is committed to finishing his season in Spain.
Despite limited starts and a recent injury, Solomon is focused on regaining fitness and earning his place, believing he is at a top club and thriving in a competitive environment.
